About Us
McLamb’s is a fourth generation family owned business. The first business at this location was owned by Handy Mclamb. He sold supplies out of a farm building around 1900. His son, David, built an old fashioned country store before 1940.
David’s son, Pete, began operating the business in the early 1950’s. McLamb’s was one of the first companies in the area to start delivering propane in 1963.
In 1972 Pete built the current expanded hardware and propane business. Pete’s son Wayne, began managing the business in 1991.
McLamb’s LP Gas & Supply Co., Inc. is your full service propane supplier and the place to come for all your hardware needs; be it for home, farm or business. We also sell many other products, such as grills, heaters, siding, roofing, dog kennels, plastic drain pipes and more. Check out our product page for details.
Did you know? One of the first uses for propane in the deep South was to heat mash for moonshine.
